During a city trip or your business trip, you will discover that Ghent is one of the most beautiful, interesting and cosiest cities in Belgium or even Europe.
the most beautiful city of flanders
Walking through Ghent you will testify yourself that its historical heritage has remained largely intact: its impressive churches, the beautifully illuminated old water channels, the Gravensteen Castle, the narrow cobbled streets in Patershol, the numerous squares.
Ghent was born at the confluence (or ‘Ganda’) of the two rivers, the Lys and the Scheldt and from this we chose also the name of our hotel.
Ghent is also well situated to visit other interesting cities in Flanders or Belgium by car or by train: Bruges, Antwerp, the coast side at the North-Sea are reachable within 35 to 50 minutes.
Yet at the same time Ghent is a contemporary city with an artistic character.
Take your time to visit one of the many museums : MSK, the Museum for Fine Arts ; S.M.A.K, a stunning Museum for Contemporary Art ; STAM, the Ghent City Museum on the Bijloke site ; The Design Museum Gent ; the MIAT museum brings industrial heritage to life in a former industrial building.
